Epiphany and Lent Series 2019

Revd JW Stott wrote

“Thus, the followers of Jesus are to be different – different from both the nominal church and the secular world, different from both the religious and the irreligious. The Sermon on the Mount is the most complete delineation anywhere in the New Testament of the Christian counter culture. Here is a Christian value system, ethical standard, religious devotion, attitude to money, ambition, life style and network of relationships all of which are totally at variance with those of the non-Christian world. And this Christian counter culture is the life of the Kingdom of God, a fully human life indeed but lived out under divine rule”

Starting on Sunday February 13th with a sermon on the Beatitudes, everyone coming to All Saints will have the opportunity to go deeper with this amazing passage of scripture; Matthew chapters 5 to 7.The details of each scripture for each Sunday of this 10 part series are on the next page of this part of the website.For each sunday may I suggest that you;

Read the Matthew reading for each Sunday ahead of time and after the service.We use the TNIV, but you may find it helpful to read it in the NIV the NRSV or the Good News version (GNV).If you need a Bible,are coming to All Saints, and do not have a Bible, do tell us and we will see what we can do.

Do speak with the service leader or Preacher after the service if you have key questions.

Also do go and get prayer ministry when the Scripture's and sermon and the Holy Spirit convicts you or nudges you; do that on the day in Church.

Join a home group (see groups) as a way of getting deeper into the word of God.May God bless you as we grow through reading St Matthew's Gospel.
