Confirmation

Candidates at a Confirmation service at St Marys Rodbourne.

Confirmation, An explanation.

Confirmation is when anybody from Key Stage 2, secondary school or adult age chooses or is encouraged to make a public proclamation of their Christian faith.  The Bishop, at a confirmation service lays his hands on candidates asking God to fill them with the Holy Spirit just as St. Paul did for Timothy, see 2 Timothy 1v 6.#  As part of the Deanery of Swindon, we try and join in with one of the Swindon Deanery confirmations per year.  The All Saints Lydiard Millicent preparation course  uses the "Rooted in Jesus" course for both teenagers + and adults, doing the course is a way of growing in faith.Again contact the Vicar if this is for you as we look forward to linking in with another confirmation service.

# 2 Timothy 1:6 New International Version (NIV)

For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands.

Please contact Revd. Tudor Roberts on 01793 772417 or email inquiries@allsaints-online.org.uk  for more details.
