Mission Partners in Uganda

Mark and Steph Draper
Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF)

Mark and Steph Draper are serving in Kampala, Uganda where they live with their three girls; Lexi, Evelyn and Raya. Mark is working as an Aircraft Engineer in the MAF hangar.

MAF is a Christian mission organization that uses planes to deliver aid, like doctors and supplies, to remote communities.

Mark and Steph rely on a team of partners who agree to pray for them and to provide the financial support which enables them to serve with MAF.

Their Story

Mark grew up in a Christian family in Ascot with aviation in his blood. His grandfather, Leslie, served in the RAF during WWII and later helped re-assemble MAF UK’s first Cessna 180 at Heathrow in 1956. Inspired by this legacy, Mark studied aerospace engineering and built a career working with Marshall Aerospace, Gulfstream, Monarch Airlines and EasyJet.

Steph grew up in Bedfordshire and has worked as a midwife at Luton & Dunstable Hospital since 2009. She has a heart to use her skills to care for families in Uganda.

Married in 2010, Mark and Steph often dreamed of serving with MAF. In 2020, during the pandemic, Mark sensed God calling him to take the step. To his surprise, Steph was ready too. Now they are serving in Uganda, combining aviation and healthcare to bring help and hope in Jesus’ name.
