BASH meets every other Friday evening at All Saints, bringing together around 20–30 children and young people for fun, friendship and the chance to explore faith together. Through games, activities, discussion and teaching, BASH provides a safe and welcoming space where young people can ask questions, learn about God and share life with one another.
BASH is led by our Growing Faith Chaplain, Bev Kauppinen, who works across our local schools — Lydiard Millicent, Peatmoor, Ridgeway Farm and St Mary’s primary schools, as well as Braydon Forest Secondary School. Bev helps build links between church, school and community, creating opportunities for children and young people to encounter the Christian faith in creative and engaging ways.
Throughout the year, Bev organises a range of special events including Experience Christmas, Experience Easter, Experience Pentecost and Christmas in a Box. These events bring the Bible story to life for children and young people, while also providing opportunities for members of our church family to get involved and share the good news of Jesus.
Our children and young people are encouraged to take an active part in our services through readings, music, drama and dance, with families and the wider community always welcome to join us.
Our prayer is that children and young people will know they are valued, welcomed and
loved, and that they will continue to grow in their understanding of Jesus and what it means to follow him.
